Are you ready to be a part of the only Conference focusing on the land development sector, being held in 2024?

On behalf of the Association of Land Development Engineers (ALDE) we would like to invite you and your colleagues to participate in the ALDE 2024 Conference, where innovation, research and collaboration converge to shape the future of land development.

The Call for Conference Presentations is now available and will close on Thursday, 30 November 2023.

The theme for the Conference is ‘Connecting the Pieces: Crafting the Future of Land Development’.

This theme highlights the intricate nature of land development projects and the various components that need to come together seamlessly for successful outcomes. Just like assembling a puzzle, the land development team must skilfully connect different aspects such as infrastructure, environmental sustainability, urban planning, and regulatory compliance.

Abstract Submission Guidelines

Abstracts are being sought in the following Conference streams:

Effective Site Management
Smart Software Use
Collaboration with Land Development
Innovative Design

Presentation Type

The ALDE 2024 Conference will feature concurrent presentations of 25 minutes duration with an additional 5 minutes allocated for questions.

The following guidelines apply for the submission of abstracts for all concurrent presentations.

All abstracts must be submitted via the online Abstract Submission Portal.
In total, abstracts should be no more than 400 words in length. Abstracts exceeding this limit will not be considered.
Submissions must include a biography of the presenter/s of up to 200 words. Submissions not including a biography of the presenter will not be considered.

The first Leadership in Land Development Luncheon for 2022 was a great success. Held at the Langham Hotel in Southbank Melbourne, this was the first time we offered an in person and hybrid event.

Our fabulous speaker Rachel Lunn of Melbourne Water shared some invaluable insights on her journeys within the land development industry. The industry panel featuring Monica George of GHD Australia and Sarah Watkins from Melbourne Water/Stormwater Victoria was a crowd favourite for their candour and interesting perspectives. Suzi Finkelstein from Women & Leadership Australia/Australian School of Applied Management spoke to the challenges females face within STEMs and broader industries.
